Terms of service
Agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and 3GN Cloud for the use of 3GN Cloud. Using the site means accepting them. If you do not, do not use the site.
Accounts
You need an account to take part, you must be 16 or older to have one, and the address on it has to be one you can receive mail at. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into it.
Your music and your posts stay yours
You keep every right you had in what you upload and what you write. To show it to anybody you need to give us permission to hold and serve it, so by posting you grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store your content, convert it into the formats a browser can play, and show it to other people on the site. The license exists to run the site and nothing else: we do not license your music on, and we do not sell it.
That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups that expire on their own schedule, and except where the content is part of a conversation other people are still reading.
What you upload has to be yours to upload
You may only upload music you made or have the rights to share. A remix, an edit or a bootleg that uses somebody else’s recording needs their permission, and posting one here does not create it. If you are not sure whether you have the right, you do not.
Conduct
The short version is that this is a room full of people. Do not:
- Post anything unlawful, or anything that harasses, threatens or impersonates somebody.
- Upload work that is not yours to upload, or claim somebody else’s track as your own.
- Use the site to advertise at people, run bots, or scrape it.
- Try to get at other people’s accounts or at parts of the system you have not been given.
Battles
Anybody can start a battle and set what it is judged on. Anybody can enter a track of their own. Scoring somebody else’s entry is judging; scoring your own is not, and the site does not allow it. A moderator names the winner once judging is closed, and that decision is final as far as the site is concerned — a battle here is a contest between people who agreed to it, not a competition with a prize you can appeal.
Moderation
Moderators can lock a thread, remove a post, take down an upload, or close an account. That happens when something breaks these terms, when it breaks the law, or when it is making the site worse for the people in it. Where it is reasonable to say why, we do. An account closed for repeated copyright infringement is not reopened.
The site itself
3GN Cloud is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that nothing will be lost, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything you care about — an upload here is a place to be heard, not an archive.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, 3GN Cloud is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for content somebody else posted. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The parts of these terms that are meant to survive — the license for content still on the site, liability, and governing law — do.
Changes
These terms change as the site does, and the date at the top changes with them. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect. Carrying on using the site after that is how you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and any dispute belongs in the courts there.
